Advanced Mathematics

Advanced Mathematics  is a continuation of the Saxon high school math sequence and expands on concepts introduced in Saxon Algebra II: trigonometry, logarithms, analytic geometry, and upper-level algebraic concepts. It is designed for students who have successfully completed Saxon Algebra II, or an equivalent course. Students should expect to spend 3-5 hours outside of class time each week working on assignments for class.

  • Permutations

  • Combinations

  • Trigonometric and inverse functions

  • Conic sections

  • Matrices and determinants

  • Binomial theorem

  • Rational roots

  • Euclidean geometry

  • Saxon Advanced Mathematics (2nd edition) Homeschool Kit with Solutions, ISBN: 9781600329739, available through Rainbow Resource here, or your preferred book seller.

  • Texas Instruments TI-84 Plus calculator, available at Target or Amazon.

  • Computer access for Google Classroom (requires an email address)

  • binder or notebook for notes
